Dani's 2nd Winter Finish!!!

I was away in the Dominican Republic the last week on a school trip with 16 teenagers.  I didn't expect to get much done but I took stitching with me.  I did get a lot of stitching done one the plane, more so on the way home than the way down.  Why on the way home?  Well first we were delayed leaving La Romana our plane was 40 minutes late coming in.  Then once we were in the air we found out that our 3.5 hour flight was going to be about 4.5 as the US Military had closed down the airspace we would of normally travelled through for some sort of testing.  Sigh.  So I stitched my heart out!  When we arrived in Toronto, our plane we were supposed to get on was yet again late.  In the end we didn't get home until after 1:30am when we should of gotten back at 11:30 PM.  But I did stitch.

Another Santa

This Santa is from The Prairie Schooler's Book #36, St. Nicholas II.  I stitched it with DMC on 32 count linen.

Kris Kringle

I love The Prairie Schooler's Kris Kringle book so much that I had to stitch up another one of the Santas from it.  I used R&R 30 ct Liberty Gathering Gray and DMC threads.

Prairie Schooler Winter

Prairie Schooler Winter
stitched on 32 ct Bone Lugana
using DMC floss
Stitched by Lynn J
My second winter finish for the challenge. I loved stitching this one but I always underestimate how long the solid stitching takes! This one will be finished to hang on my tree next year.

First Winter Finish

Trail Creek Farm Winter
on 32 Ct Ayrloom Opalescent Solo
using DMC and Six Strand Sweets Floss
stitched by Lynn J

I actually finished this one during the first week of January. I haven't posted it before now because I'd hoped to have the finishing done by now. As you can see, it hasn't happened yet and isn't likely to get done in the near future. I'm hoping to make this one into a fob.

Dani's First Winter Finish (maybe only?)

Wow since this new challenge was issued, I just haven't had the time to stitch on what I want to... or anything wintery!  I finally put all my other "must do" projects aside and finished off this little gal that I started as part of the 2012 Crazy Challenge!

Polar Friends - Night
c2002 Stitcher's Habit
Stitched on 32ct Ocean Fantasy Linen from Silkweavers
Stitched with DMC, Kreinik and WDW

I think this will be my only entry for this challenge, as life has been moving at a crazy place, and in two short weeks I'll be off on a week long field trip with 16 students on a 3rd World experience in the Dominican Republic.

Here's another little snowman for the winter! I stitched him with white and blending filament, but the pic doesn't show it well. And, beads insted of stitches for the flakes, and I left the words "Let It Snow" off. Another fun stitch!
